Jona Schloßer is a filmmaker with a strong narrative voice and visual sensibility.
At just 16, he directed the feature-length documentary “My Big Journey” (2018).
Subsequently, he worked on various feature film and series productions, including as an artistic assistant to Dominik Graf. His early short films (“Verzeih mir, Vater”, “Allein”) screened internationally (e.g. LA Shorts) and were awarded the German Youth Film Award multiple times.
Since 2021, Jona has been studying Directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. During his studies, he created the short film “Beyond the Sea” (nominated at In The Palace 2025, among others) as well as the social spot “KUNYE” (German Advertising Film Award, Silver at the 1.4 Awards). His latest film “TRANCE”, a co-production with SWR, was completed in late 2025 and is now beginning its festival run.
Based in Munich, but working wherever there’s parmesan.
